Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Provincial Minimum Wage, Industrialization, and Population Growth on Urbanization in Indonesia from 1992 to 2024. This study uses the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) method to see the dynamic relationship between independent variables and dependent variables. The results show that Provincial Minimum Wage has a positive sign and is not significant in the short run, while in the long run, Provincial Minimum Wage has a positive and significant effect on urbanization in Indonesia. Industrialization has a negative sign and is not significant in the short run, as well as in the long, industrialization has a negative sign and is not significant. Population growth has a positive sign and is not significant in the short run, while in the long run it has a significant and positive effect on urbanization in Indonesia.

Abstract

Sustainable productivity has become a strategic issue in the development of Gayo Arabica coffee agribusiness due to increasing production costs, the need for plantation investment, and the growing demand for efficient and sustainable farming practices. This study aims to examine the effects of long-term production costs and plantation investment on sustainable productivity through operational capabilities in the Gayo Arabica coffee agribusiness sector in Aceh, Indonesia. A quantitative approach with an explanatory research design was employed. Data were collected through a survey of Gayo Arabica coffee farmers using a structured Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that long-term production costs and plantation investment have positive and significant effects on operational capabilities. Furthermore, both variables positively and significantly influence sustainable productivity. Operational capabilities also have a positive and significant effect on sustainable productivity and mediate the relationships between long-term production costs, plantation investment, and sustainable productivity. These findings suggest that improvements in coffee productivity are not determined solely by the amount of production costs and investments incurred, but also by farmers’ ability to effectively manage resources, technology, and operational processes. This study reinforces the Resource-Based View and Dynamic Capability Theory by highlighting the critical role of operational capabilities as a mechanism for transforming resources into sustainable performance. Practically, the findings provide valuable insights for policymakers, cooperatives, and agribusiness stakeholders in formulating strategies to enhance the sustainable productivity of Gayo Arabica coffee through increased investment and the development of farmers’ operational capabilities.

Abstract

This study examined the effect of price, exchange rate, and production on Indonesian seaweed exports to Europe. The reason is that in 2016 the price of seaweed was lower than the previous year, but there was a decline in exports. The data analysis method used was panel data analysis because the data used was a combination of cross-section and time series data. The results partially indicated that the price and exchange rate positively and significantly affected Indonesian seaweed exports, while the exchange rate negatively and insignificantly affect Indonesian seaweed exports. Simultaneously, the exchange rate and seaweed production positively and significantly affected Indonesian seaweed exports.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of land carrying capacity and agricultural sektor growth on economic growth in districts and cities in Aceh province. The data used in this study is panel data which consists of combining time series data and cross section data. The study was conducted in 23 provinces during 2011 to 2020. The data analysis method used was panel data regression analysis. Based on the model selection technique, the best model in this study is the fixed effect model. The results of the study partially that the carrying capacity of land has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in districts/cities in Aceh Province. The growth of the agricultural sektor has a positive and significant impact on economic growth in districts/cities in Aceh Province. Abstract

This study examined the efficiency of tobacco farming production in Indonesia. This study used secondary data in the form of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) using the Costan Return to Scale (CRS) and Return to Scale (VRS) approaches from 2006 to 2020 from the Central Bureau of Statistics and FAO. Development analysis Data (DEA) method was used to analyze the efficiency of tobacco farming production in Indonesia. The results indicated that the 4 input variables consisting of land area, investment, production costs, and output Tobacco production were in the CRS and VRS approaches. For CRS, there were 6 efficient years, while for VRS, there were 7 efficient years. The average value of efficiency in tobacco farming is one (1,000).
