Abstract

The rapid pace of digital transformation demands leadership styles capable of adapting to technological change in order to sustain organizational productivity, and this study is motivated by a gap in understanding the psychological mechanisms bridging digital leadership and employee performance. This study aims to examine the effect of digital leadership on job satisfaction, the effect of digital leadership on employee performance, and the mediating role of job satisfaction among company employees. A quantitative explanatory approach was employed involving 125 employees selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Primary data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using hierarchical linear regression and the Sobel test with IBM SPSS 26. The results indicate that digital leadership has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, digital leadership and job satisfaction jointly and partially exert significant effects on employee performance, and job satisfaction significantly mediates the effect of digital leadership on employee performance. The study concludes that optimizing employee performance through digital leadership requires strengthening job satisfaction as the primary linking mechanism, so that leadership digitalization strategies must be integrated with sustainable policies for employee psychological well-being.
