Abstract

This study examines entrepreneurship development at Al-Inayah Islamic Boarding School and its contribution to institutional income, santri learning, and community engagement. Using a qualitative case study, data were collected through interviews, observation, and document review involving pesantren leaders, business managers, santri, and community members. The findings identify six business units: Al-Inayah Tour & Travel, Taman Rimbo Tourism Park, livestock farming, Inayah Mart, laundry services, and a photo studio. These units are managed through planning, task allocation, implementation, supervision, and evaluation. Their continuity is supported by leadership commitment, assigned managers, santri participation, local resources, varied markets, and routine monitoring. The businesses broaden the pesantren’s income sources, provide practical entrepreneurial experience, and strengthen its economic links with the surrounding community. However, the available evidence does not confirm full economic independence or measurable community empowerment. The study highlights the value of integrating business management, experiential learning, and community-oriented enterprise within pesantren development.
