Abstract

Background: Preeclampsia is a maternal health problem caused by multifactors. Preeclampsia problems that are not handled properly will have a negative impact that can be detrimental to the health of the mother and baby. Research Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes with preeclampsia prevention behavior in pregnant women at the Muara Aman Health Center, Lebong Regency. Research Method: The design used in this research is an analytical survey with a Cross Sectional design. The study population of pregnant women at the Muara Aman Health Center, Lebong Regency for the period of November 2025 was 105 people. A sample of 51 respondents was taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out univariately and bivariately. The statistical test used was Chi Square. Research Results: Of the 51 respondents, most respondents 29 (56.9%) had insufficient knowledge, most respondents 31 (60.8%) pregnant women had unsupportive attitudes and most respondents 30 (58.8%) had negative attitudes towards preeclampsia prevention. There is a relationship between knowledge and behavior in preventing preeclampsia in pregnant women at the Muara Aman Community Health Center, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province with a p-value of 0.000. There is a relationship between attitudes and behavior in preventing preeclampsia in pregnant women at the Muara Aman Community Health Center, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province with a p-value of 0.006. Suggestion: It is hoped that the results of this study will be useful input for practice or health services at community health centers and midwives in order to optimize counseling regarding diet for preventing preeclampsia in collaboration with nutritionists at the community health center.
