Abstract

Background – During the pandemic, the global economy was greatly affected, including Indonesia. Currently, Indonesian government expenditure is focused on overcoming the impact of the pandemic by implementing policies in various sectors that have a major impact on vulnerable communities. This causes widespread poverty, which is indicated by the occurrence of income inequality due to government policies through financial repression that possibly affects economic growth. Purpose – This study aims, first, to analyze the financial repression policies carried out by the Indonesian government during the pandemic (2019-2021 period) on Indonesia's economic growth as a developing country. The second objective is that the impact of financial repression carried out as a government policy will be studied more deeply on income inequality because most of the Indonesian population works in the informal sector. The third objective is to further analyze the relationship and impact of the two macroeconomic factors (financial repression and income inequality) simultaneously in the midst of a pandemic that affects economic growth in Indonesia. Design/methodology/approach – This study uses a quantitative and descriptive exploratory approach with secondary data. Data analysis used simultaneous equations with 2 Stage Least Square. Findings – The results of this study prove that income inequality and financial repression have no significant effect on the level of economic growth in Indonesia. However, in the opposite relationship, if the rate of economic growth is associated with the death rate of the population, which represents the condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, it shows a significant negative effect on the rate of economic growth and income inequality, as well as financial repression. Research limitations – This study is limited by the data period during the pandemic (late 2019 to July 2021) and the availability of data from the Badan Pusat Statistik (Central Bureau of Statistics) and the World Bank. Originality/value – The measurement of financial repression by the money supply and others, as a component of equation 1, and measurement of inequality using the Gini ratio or other poverty index as a component of equation 2. Both equations are linked to Indonesia's economic growth rate.

Abstract

The increase in profits is one of the factors to strengthen the market share position of Islamic banks. The increase in profit depends on the bank's activities themselves, both from financing which is the main source of income for the bank and from its operational implementation. The purpose of this study is to be able to know the effect of total financing, Non Performing Financing (NPF), and operational efficiency (BOPO) on the net profit of the Sharia General Bank (BUS). Data analysis was in the form of panel data regression analysis using annual data 2019-2023 using 6 BUS samples through purposive sampling techniques. The results shown through this study are that partially total financing has a positive influence while NPF and BOPO have a negative effect on net profit. Simultaneously, this study shows that total financing, NPF, and BOPO affect the net profit of Sharia Commercial Banks..

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Effect of Marketing Mix 5Cs (Conformity, Character, Commitment, Conscience and Customer Centrism) on Customer Loyalty through Customer Satisfaction of BSI South Tangerang. This research is a quantitative study using Multiple Linear Regression and Sobel Test through Microsoft Excel 2010 and SPSS version 26. The population of this research is BSI South Tangerang customers, 100 respondents were taken as a sample using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the 5Cs Marketing Mix simultaneously had a significant effect on customer satisfaction and there was a significant effect on customer loyalty. Partially, Conformity has a positive and significant effect on Customer Satisfaction, while Character, Commitment, Conscience and Customer Centrism have no significant effect. Likewise Commitment and Customer Satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on Customer Loyalty, while Conformity, Character, Conscience and Customer Centrism have no significant effect. The results of the Sobel test show that Customer Satisfaction as an intervening variable is able to mediate Conformity to Customer Loyalty, while Character, Commitment, Conscience and Customer Centrism to Customer Loyalty are unable to be mediated by Customer Satisfaction. So this shows that the 5Cs Marketing Mix of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) South Tangerang is quite satisfying but has not been able to increase customer loyalty. Therefore BSI must improve the quality of service to customer needs.
