Abstract

Communities often face challenges such as low awareness of organic waste management, limited healthy habits among children, weak community health services, and insufficient family digital literacy. To address these issues, four core empowerment programs were implemented: maggot cultivation as an innovative waste management solution and economic opportunity, health education on tooth brushing and handwashing to foster healthy behaviors, support for integrated health posts (posyandu) to strengthen healthcare services, and family digital literacy through the Family Link application as a technology-based educational tool. Methods included counseling, demonstrations, hands-on practice, simulations, and cadre mentoring. The results showed significant changes: five families began maggot cultivation independently, 90% of elementary students successfully practiced proper tooth brushing and handwashing, ten elderly participants were identified with mild hypertension through posyandu activities, and 85% of parents successfully used Family Link to supervise their children’s gadget use. Average community participation exceeded 85%, indicating that the program matched local needs. The activities contributed to improving knowledge, skills, and awareness in the fields of environment, health, economy, and digital technology. Follow-up implications include developing collective maggot-based businesses, digitizing posyandu services, integrating digital literacy into PKK and school programs, and strengthening collaboration with health centers. Thus, this initiative not only provided short-term impacts but also opened opportunities for sustainable development toward healthier, smarter, and more independent communities.
