Abstract

This study aims to analyze teachers’ readiness, challenges, and problem-solving strategies in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum in Grade IV Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning at SDN 3 Syamsudin Noor Banjarbaru. This field research employed a qualitative approach with a narrative method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that teacher readiness includes understanding the curriculum structure and preparing learning plans, teaching modules, learning implementation, and assessments. The challenges encountered include paradigm shifts, limited resources and time, classroom management, insufficient support from parents and the community, and learning evaluation. Problem-solving efforts include providing adequate infrastructure, conducting intensive and continuous teacher training, strengthening collaboration between schools and communities, and implementing ongoing evaluation.
