<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Hepatitis merupakan penyakit peradangan hati sistemik yang menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat global, termasuk bagi agregat penderita penyakit menular di Provinsi Lampung. Kurangnya literasi kesehatan memicu keterlambatan diagnosis dan peningkatan komplikasi fatal. Pengkajian awal menunjukkan mayoritas pasien belum memahami esensi penyakit ini yang memperlambat penyembuhan dan memicu penularan. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat dan edukasi kesehatan ini yaitu untuk menstimulasi peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat, khususnya penderita penyakit menular dan keluarganya, terhadap pentingnya pola hidup sehat, pencegahan hepatitis, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan secara komprehensif. Metode Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan kombinasi berupa ceramah interaktif, demonstrasi fisik, dan sesi tanya jawab. Sasaran kegiatan adalah pasien hepatitis dan keluarga di Ruang Endoscopy RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Provinsi Lampung. Hasil intervensi edukasi menunjukkan efektivitas yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan pemahaman peserta. Persentase tingkat pengetahuan baik melonjak tajam dari sebelum dan setelah intervensi dilaksanakan. Evaluasi pencapaian materi dan praktik 6 langkah cuci tangan menyentuh tingkat keberhasilan 95%. Kesimpulannya, edukasi ini sangat efektif dalam memutus mata rantai penularan di lingkungan rumah sakit dan masyarakat. ABSTRACT Hepatitis is a systemic liver inflammatory disease representing a major public health challenge globally, including among infectious disease patient aggregates in Lampung Province. Inadequate health literacy triggers delayed diagnosis and escalates fatal complications. Initial assessments indicate the majority of patients lack essential understanding of this disease, which delays recovery and triggers transmission. Purpose community service and health education is to stimulate increased public awareness, especially among infectious disease patients and their families, regarding the importance of a healthy lifestyle, hepatitis prevention, and to comprehensively improve their knowledge. Method this community service activity uses a combination method in the form of interactive lectures, physical demonstrations, and question and answer sessions. The target of the activity is hepatitis patients and their families in the Endoscopy Room of RSUD Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek, Lampung Province. Result the educational intervention demonstrated significant effectiveness in enhancing participants’ understanding. The percentage of good knowledge levels increased dramatically from before and post-intervention. Evaluation of material comprehension and the 6-step handwashing practice reached a 95% success rate.
