Abstract

Basic Life Support is a crucial first aid measure in cardiac and respiratory arrest. his study aimed to determine the effect of the Numbered Heads Together learning model on the level of knowledge of Youth Red Cross members regarding Basic Life Support This study used a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. A sample of 30 PMR members was drawn using a total sampling technique. Knowledge levels were measured before and after the learning intervention using a multiple-choice questionnaire. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of 0.05. Before the intervention, most respondents were in the fair and poor knowledge categories. After learning using the NHT model, knowledge levels increased, with the majority of respondents in the good category. The Wilcoxon test results showed a p-value <0.05, indicating a significant effect of the NHT learning model on improving Red Cross members' knowledge of BLS.
