<![CDATA[The demands of the 21st-century sustainable tourism industry require Ecotourism students to not only master technical destination management but also possess public communication skills and environmental storytelling-based promotion. This study aims to deeply and conceptually examine the integration of ecotourism journalism into the vocational education curriculum at Cristo Re Polytechnic, Maumere, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The research method applied is a comprehensive library research relying on content analysis and thematic synthesis of 28 reputable literature sources (2016–2026), including Sinta and Scopus indexed journal articles, ecotourism methodology textbooks, and national vocational curriculum policy documents. The findings indicate that: 1) Basic journalistic skills (feature writing, conservation photography, ecological narrative creation, and digital media production) significantly enhance the adaptability and competitiveness of ecotourism graduates in promoting local potential while advocating environmental conservation; 2) The best curriculum integration model is validated through a three-pillar Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach combining field ecological exploration research with digital media publishing; 3) Key implementation challenges, including media laboratory infrastructure constraints and initial student journalistic literacy, can be mitigated through local media partnership strategies and independent digital campus platforms.
