Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of understanding the factors that influence students' decisions in choosing educational institutions to evaluate and enhance a school's appeal. The research aims to analyze the interest level of students who chose MTs Mambaul Ulum based on location, school quality, facilities, and tuition fees using the Naive Bayes algorithm. A quantitative approach was employed by collecting data through online questionnaires distributed to students enrolled in the 2023–2025 academic years. Using Slovin’s formula with a 10% margin of error, a sample size of 67 respondents was drawn from a population of 200 students. The analytical stages included data transformation into Likert scales, validity and reliability testing, data discretization into low, medium, and high categories, Naive Bayes modeling, and model evaluation via 10-Fold Cross-Validation in RapidMiner. The findings revealed that the high category dominated the variables of location (62.69%), quality (61.19%), facilities (53.73%), and interest (58.21%), whereas tuition fees were mostly in the medium category (49.25%). Evaluation of the Naive Bayes model yielded an average accuracy of 61.67% ± 17.33%, with the highest precision in the low category (85.71%) and a low precision of 31.25% in the medium category. The implication of this study provides insight for MTs Mambaul Ulum regarding student interest characteristics while indicating that although the Naive Bayes algorithm is applicable for interest classification, its performance remains limited, particularly in identifying the medium category.

Abstract

This research addresses the inefficiency of manual payment administration at the Tegal City Housing and Settlement Agency (Disperkim) by developing an integrated Rental Apartment (Rusunawa) Payment Website to enhance data management effectiveness. The study utilized the Waterfall method, encompassing requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Built using the Laravel framework, PHP, and MySQL, the platform establishes two distinct user access roles: tenants—who can view bills, complete payments, and access payment history—and administrators, who manage block, tenant, billing, and payment data while overseeing monitoring and reporting. Black-box testing across thirteen distinct scenarios confirmed that all system functionalities operate validly and as intended. The developed website successfully consolidates data management into a single platform, featuring real-time payment monitoring and automated Microsoft Excel reporting. These features significantly improve operational efficiency over previous manual procedures, accelerating the digitalization of public administration at Disperkim Kota Tegal. Future developments are expected to incorporate automated notification features, integrated payment gateways, and comprehensive performance and security evaluations to optimize full-scale system deployment.

Abstract

Semedo Museum, a cultural heritage site in Tegal Regency, Indonesia, still manages visitors through a semi-digital process, in which tickets are purchased on-site, visitor data are recorded through disconnected digital forms, ticket validation is performed manually, and reports are compiled manually, resulting in duplicated work, data entry errors, and delayed reporting. This study designs and develops a web-based Visitor Management Information System that integrates online and offline ticketing, QR Code-based e-Ticket issuance and validation, a real-time analytics dashboard, and automated reporting within a single platform, developed through the Waterfall method comprising requirements analysis, system design using Unified Modeling Language and Entity Relationship Diagram, implementation with the Laravel framework and MySQL database, and Black Box Testing. Requirements were obtained through literature review, observation, and interviews with museum management. Testing across 63 scenarios covering authentication, ticketing, QR Code validation, dashboard, and reporting achieved a 100 percent Pass Rate, confirming that the system's core functions operate in accordance with the defined requirements. The resulting system has the potential to help museum management process visitor data more efficiently and accurately, while offering a model that may be adapted for similar cultural tourism institutions.

Abstract

The application of information technology can support blood inventory management by providing faster and more structured information at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Tegal City. A qualitative Research and Development (R&D) approach was used in this study to develop a blood inventory monitoring information system. Research data were collected through observation, interviews, and a literature review. The results of this data collection served as the basis for system development using the Waterfall method. The resulting system is web-based and designed to assist in the monitoring and management of blood stock. Next, the system’s functions were tested using Black Box Testing to ensure compliance with the established requirements. The resulting system was built using the Laravel framework and MySQL, featuring functions for managing incoming blood donations, hospital requests, monitoring stock status, critical stock notifications, reporting, and demand estimation based on the average demand over the past six months. The system can display stock levels in real time and issue automatic alerts when inventory reaches 5 bags or less. Test results show that all system functions meet the functional requirements, making the system suitable for supporting blood stock monitoring and management at the Tegal City Red Cross (PMI).
