Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a psychometric instrument to measure the factors driving the readiness of Senior High School (SMA) students to continue their entrepreneurial journeys after the initial pilot phase, addressing the significant gap between entrepreneurial intention and business sustainability among Indonesian youth. An Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was conducted using the Maximum Likelihood (ML) extraction method. The sample consisted of 368 SMA students from Yayasan Ciputra Pendidikan in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Tangerang. The analysis demonstrated excellent sampling adequacy with a KMO value of 0.964. Through an iterative refinement process, the instrument was consolidated into a stable three-factor structure: Entrepreneurial Continuation Intention (9 items), Parental Support (6 items), and Motivation (4 items), which collectively explain a satisfactory proportion of the variance. This research provides novelty by integrating the synergy between individual motivation and the family ecosystem (parental support) into a single validated evaluation tool specifically tailored for high school students within a collectivist cultural context like Indonesia.
