Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of work motivation and job satisfaction on employee performance at PT. Coastal Construction. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative method. The research population consisted of 71 employees, all of whom were selected as the sample using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, and Likert-scale questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of EViews 14 software, preceded by validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests. The results indicated that work motivation exerted a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.689454 and a significance value of 0.0000 (). Job satisfaction also had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.182547 and a significance value of 0.0226 (). Simultaneously, work motivation and job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, with an -statistic value of 29.70428 and a Prob(-statistic) of 0.000000 (). The coefficient of determination () value of 0.466284 demonstrated that 46.63% of the variance in employee performance could be explained by work motivation and job satisfaction, while the remaining 53.37% was influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.
