Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) aims to improve students' nutritional quality and has the potential to serve as a medium for instilling Islamic educational values, particularly gratitude and consumption moderation. This study aims to analyze the actualization of these values through the MBG Program based on Surah Al-A'raf verse 31 and Surah An-Nahl verse 114. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study method in an early childhood education institution. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The findings show that the MBG Program actualizes gratitude through praying, appreciating food, and recognizing food as a blessing from Allah SWT. Consumption moderation is actualized through eating sufficiently, finishing meals, and avoiding food waste. Teachers and parents play an important role in strengthening these habits. The study concludes that the MBG Program not only supports children's nutritional needs but also serves as a medium for Islamic character education.
