The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning learning model by utilizing the environment as a learning resource on the motivation and learning outcomes of seventh grade students at MTs Pesantren Al Qamar Kab. Takalar. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research (quasi-experimental). The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique as many as 2 classes with 20 students in each class. Data analysis used covariance analysis test. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and inferential analysis using the computer application SPSS version 20.0 for windows. The results of the analysis of the anacova test on the intercept value showed a constant value with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, meaning that the pretest and the learning model using the environment simultaneously had different impacts on motivation and learning outcomes. The significance value of the initial ability (pretest) shows 0.235 > 0.05, meaning that the initial ability is not significant on learning motivation with the impact of treatment at 3.8 percent and 0.029 <0.05, meaning that the initial ability has a significant impact on learning outcomes 12.3 percent. The learning model shows a significance value of 0.006 <0.05 on learning motivation and 0.029 <0.05 on learning outcomes, meaning that learning models using different learning resources in each research sample have significant differences on student motivation and learning outcomes with the impact of each treatment. -each variable is 19.0 percent and 12.3 percent.
