Abstract

This study aims to determine the types of bacteria found in soil exposed to pesticides with the active ingredient Isopropylamine Glyphosate by characterizing the bacteria morphologically and physiologically. Soil samples were taken from shallot plantations in Baraka District, Enrekang Regency. The method in this study was to isolate soil samples at a depth of 10 cm and 20 cm, the bacterial isolates found were then grouped based on the morphological and physiological characters of the isolates found. At the isolation stage, pesticides were treated with concentrations of 10 ppm, 20 ppm and 30 ppm. The results of the study on a 10 cm depth soil found bacteria from the genus Pantoea and Clostridium. At a concentration of 10 ppm, 2 isolates were obtained, at a concentration of 20 ppm, 2 isolates were obtained, and at a concentration of 30 ppm, 1 isolate was found. Meanwhile, at a depth of 20 cm, bacteria from the genera Pantoea, Clostridium, Pseudomonas, and Erwinia were found. At a concentration of 10 ppm found 4 isolates, a concentration of 20 ppm 2 isolates and a concentration of 30 ppm found 1 isolate. The results showed that the genera Pantoea, Clostridium, Pseudomonas, and Erwinia, were able to survive in soil exposed to pesticides.
