<![CDATA[The problem in this research is the low ability of Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of students in the subject of Economics. Higher Order Thinking Skills are very important to develop because they can help students in analyzing, evaluating, and solving various problems faced in the learning process. One effort that can be done to improve HOTS skills is through the implementation of an active and collaborative learning model, namely the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning model supported by the use of Powerpoint. media. This study used a quasi-experimental method with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that received learning using the TPS model assisted by Powerpoint. media and the control class that received conventional learning. Data were collected through HOTS ability tests given before and after the treatment. Furthermore, the data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, hypothesis tests, N-Gain tests, and Effect Size tests. The results of the study showed that there was an increase in HOTS skills in both groups after the learning process took place. However, the increase in HOTS skills in the class that used the TPS model assisted by Powerpoint. media was higher than the class that used conventional learning. This is evident from the increase in average learning outcomes, the high N-Gain score, and the Effect Size test results, which showed a very large impact. These findings indicate that the implementation of the TPS learning model with the aid of Powerpoint. media can create a more active, interactive, and student-centered learning process, making it more effective in improving higher-order thinking skills in Economics.]]>
