Abstract

As a culinary business, Warung Damai still relies on manual methods for recording transactions, managing orders, and compiling sales reports; this approach carries the risk of data errors, service delays, and ineffective decision-making. This study aims to design and develop a web-based sales information system to enhance the operational effectiveness of Warung Damai. The Waterfall development method was employed, encompassing the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation review, and a literature study. The proposed system was developed using the PHP programming language and a MySQL database, with system modeling conducted via Data Flow Diagrams (DFD) and Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERD). The results demonstrate that the developed system successfully digitizes processes—including ordering, menu management, transactions, and sales reporting—through computerization. Black Box testing confirmed the functionality of key features such as login, shopping cart, checkout, and daily sales reporting (eliminating error-prone manual recapitulation). Furthermore, the system enables customers to place orders at any time via mobile devices, thereby improving service efficiency and expanding market reach.
