Abstract

Sharia Securities Crowdfunding (SCF Syariah) is an emerging technology-based Islamic financing mechanism that expands investment opportunities and supports MSME financing. This study examines the effects of facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, price value, and habit on investment interest and investment decisions through SCF Syariah in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed using data from 385 respondents selected through purposive sampling, comprising prospective and actual SCF Syariah investors. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), with hypotheses evaluated at a 10% significance level. Facilitating conditions (β = 0.313; p < 0.001), hedonic motivation (β = 0.213; p < 0.001), price value (β = 0.134; p = 0.075), and habit (β = 0.265; p = 0.001) positively affect investment interest. Habit (β = 0.275; p < 0.001) and price value (β = 0.183; p = 0.001) positively affect investment decisions. Investment interest also positively affects investment decisions (β = 0.374; p < 0.001). The model explains 67.4% and 63.8% of the variance in investment interest and decisions, respectively. SCF Syariah platforms should strengthen facilitating conditions, user experience, perceived value, and habitual engagement, while regulators should enhance transparency and investor protection. Limitations include the cross-sectional design, omission of trust and perceived risk, and mixed prospective and actual investors. This study extends UTAUT2 to Indonesia’s SCF Syariah ecosystem by examining investment interest as a mediating mechanism linking technological factors to investment decisions.
