Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to the public financial transaction system, particularly through the implementation of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) as a national non-cash payment instrument. However, the adoption of QRIS at the village level still faces challenges, especially the low level of digital and financial literacy among the community. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of QRIS socialization activities in improving digital literacy and encouraging non-cash transactions in Bandar Baru Sibolangit Village. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The results indicate that QRIS socialization has a positive impact on increasing community understanding and skills in using digital payment technology. Active community participation in training sessions and QRIS usage demonstrations plays a crucial role in shifting transaction behavior from cash-based to digital-based practices. Furthermore, the main supporting factors for successful socialization include direct communication approaches, the involvement of village authorities, and support from local financial institutions. This study concludes that QRIS socialization activities are effective in enhancing community digital literacy while accelerating digital economic transformation at the village level. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for financial institutions, local governments, and academics in designing sustainable, technology-based financial inclusion strategies.
