Abstract

Islamic education faces significant challenges in adapting to the digitalization era of the 21st century. This article investigates the role of digital technology in the transformation of Islamic education, identifying its positive and negative impacts as well as the challenges encountered. By integrating technology into the learning process, Islamic education can become more effective, relevant, and inclusive. Emphasis is placed on the importance of digital literacy, interactive learning, and curriculum adaptation to meet contemporary cultural needs. Although digital technology brings innovation and accessibility, it is crucial to ensure that this integration is consistent with true Islamic principles and strengthens Islamic identity in education.
