Abstract

This research aimed to investigate to improve the English skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Diponegoro 10 Pekuncen through the song. This research used a classroom action research (CAR) design focusing on 20 seventh-grade B students in the 2024/2025 academic year. The media used was the song "Pelangi-Pelangi" translated into English, chosen for its simple lyrics and familiar melody. The research was based on Elliot's concept of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data were collected through observation, pre-test, and post-test in each cycle, as well as documentation. The research was conducted in two cycles. This research used paired sample t test to know the significant of the result based on statistics. The results showed significant. It is show that the students' English skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing was improved through the song. This improvement was clearly visible in the students' average scores in each cycle. Keywords: Classroom Action Research, Improve English Skills, Song
