The high divorce rate in Indonesia is often associated with incompatibilities in character and life goals between partners, partly due to pre-marital validation processes that remain manual and subjective. Most existing digital Ta’aruf platforms primarily serve as communication media and are not yet equipped with intelligent algorithms to quantitatively assess compatibility based on the concept of Kafa’ah. Therefore, this study aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) to minimize errors in pre-marital decision-making by mathematically measuring Kafa’ah compatibility. The proposed system implements the Mutual Profile Matching algorithm to evaluate candidate profiles through two-way (bilateral) matching, integrated with a Dynamic Priority Weighting feature that allows users to define the hierarchy of their preferred criteria. The evaluation parameters focus on four main pillars of Kafa’ah: religious commitment, lineage, wealth, and physical characteristics. The computational process involves mapping the gap between actual candidate profiles and desired criteria, classifying sub-criteria into Core Factors and Secondary Factors, and calculating the Mutual Score. System testing was conducted using 31 respondents, consisting of 30 female candidates and 1 male candidate, as a pilot sample. The results demonstrate that the system can accurately rank candidates by identifying the top five candidates with the highest compatibility levels, with the highest compatibility score reaching 87.52%. In conclusion, the implementation of the Mutual Profile Matching algorithm provides an objective and measurable evaluation of Kafa’ah compatibility, making it a useful decision-support instrument for facilitating a more precise Ta’aruf process.
