Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of the emotional dimension (enjoyment), trust, and the core variables of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) perceived usefulness and perceived ease of usein shaping the attitude toward using and behavioral intention regarding the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Furthermore, this study examines the mediating role of attitude toward using in the relationship between cognitive factors (usefulness and ease of use) and behavioral intention. An explanatory causal quantitative research design was applied to 280 active QRIS users selected via purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on AMOS The results validate the ten proposed hypotheses. Enjoyment was found to have a positive and significant effect on trust and perceived ease of use. Trust positively influenced perceived usefulness. Additionally, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use had positive and significant effects on both attitude toward using and behavioral intention. Attitude toward using was also found to exert a dominant positive influence on behavioral intention. Mediation analysis confirmed that attitude toward using acts as a partial mediator in the relationship between cognitive factors (perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use) and behavioral intention. These findings underscore that technical cognitive evaluations must first be translated into an affective attitude of acceptance to foster sustained adoption.
