Smart village development requires more than digital infrastructure. it depends on the integration of local resources, community participation, human capacity, public services, environmental management, and local economic development. This community service activity aimed to strengthen the foundations of a smart village in Melinggih Kelod Village, Payangan, Gianyar, through a participatory program aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activity was implemented during the second regular period of the Community Empowerment Real Work Lecture (KKN-PMM) of Universitas Warmadewa in July–August 2026. A descriptive participatory approach was used through initial observation, coordination with village government and community partners, needs assessment, program implementation, and simple evaluation based on participation, achievement of outputs, and partner feedback. Forty-six documented activities were implemented, comprising 22 thematic and 24 non-thematic programs, with a total recorded allocation of 137 working hours. Interventions covered education and English learning, digital literacy and online safety, child development, health promotion and stunting prevention, MSME data updating and promotion, environmental cleanliness, waste education, community-based environmental action, and the installation of a modern teba waste-management facility. The activities produced practical outputs such as educational materials, improved MSME visibility, cleaned public spaces, waste-awareness signage, and a modern teba facility. The findings indicate that smart village strengthening can begin with relatively simple, locally relevant interventions when they are co-designed and implemented through collaboration among village government, schools, cadres, youth, MSMEs, and community groups. Sustainability will depend on continued local ownership, routine maintenance, data updating, and integration of these initiatives into village development planning.
