The Sunan Prawoto Tomb is one of the religious tourism destinations that plays an important role in the social and economic life of the people of Prawoto Village, Sukolilo District, Pati Regency. This study aims to examine the influence of religious tourism activities at the Sunan Prawoto Tomb on the local community’s economic conditions, particularly in terms of increasing income, expanding business opportunities, and stimulating local economic dynamics. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants include the tomb caretaker, local business actors, tourism managers, village officials, surrounding community members, and pilgrims. The results indicate that religious tourism at the Sunan Prawoto Tomb generates significant economic impacts on the community, including increased household income, job creation, the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and an acceleration of economic circulation, especially during the commemoration of Sunan Prawoto’s haul. In addition, a multiplier effect is evident in the transportation sector, food consumption, and other supporting services. Nevertheless, the development of this religious tourism site still faces several challenges, such as limited infrastructure, suboptimal area management, and insufficient tourism promotion. Overall, religious tourism at the Sunan Prawoto Tomb has proven to contribute positively to the economic well- being of the local community; however, sustained collaboration among the village government, tourism managers, and the community is required to optimize its economic potential while addressing existing challenges.
