Abstract

Dendrobium orchids are ornamental plants with high aesthetic and economic value, but their flowering process is relatively slow, so efforts are needed to accelerate the generative phase. One way that can be done is by administering gibberellin growth regulators. This study aims to determine the effect and determine the most effective gibberellin concentration on bud initiation time, flowering time, and the number of flowers of Dendrobium Burana Jade Yellow orchids. The study was conducted in August–September 2025 using a non- factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four gibberellin concentration treatments, namely 0 ppm, 50 ppm, 100 ppm, and 150 ppm, each repeated five times. Data were analyzed using ANOVA at the 5% level and continued with the DMRT test. The results showed that differences in gibberellin concentrations significantly affected all observation parameters. A gibberellin concentration of 150 ppm gave the best results with the fastest bud initiation time and flowering time as well as the highest number of flowers compared to other treatments. Thus, administration of gibberellin at a concentration of 150 ppm is effective in accelerating flowering and increasing the number of flowers of the Dendrobium Burana Jade Yellow orchid.
