Abstract

Understanding student rights and obligations is a crucial aspect of fostering discipline, responsibility, and social awareness. However, there are still students who perceive rights and obligations merely as academic concepts and have yet to optimally apply them in their daily lives. This study aims to describe the implementation of the "7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children" Program, analyze its role in instilling rights and obligations in fifth-grade elementary school students, and identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the program's implementation. The study employs a qualitative approach using a narrative method. The research subjects consisted of three fifth-grade students at SD 1 Kaliwungu. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation, while data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the "7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children" Program is implemented by fostering habits such as waking up early, engaging in religious observance, exercising, consuming healthy and nutritious food, maintaining a love for learning, socializing, and going to bed early all practiced routinely and sustainably. The program plays a role in instilling values of discipline, responsibility, independence, and social awareness, as well as fostering student understanding and fulfillment of their rights and obligations. Program implementation is supported by the roles of teachers, parents, students, and the school environment. Inhibiting factors relate to student consistency in practicing these habits and environmental support that is not always optimal. Thus, the "7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children" program can serve as a means of fostering habits that support the instilling of students' rights and obligations through real-life experiences.
