Abstract

Contemporary hurdles in education within Islamic boarding schools are associated with the attainment and effectiveness of the eight benchmarks for national education that stem from this structure. The management and educational program of integrated Islamic boarding schools are believed to place excessive importance on intellectual skills while overlooking character development. The purpose of this research was to acquire understanding and interpretation of Integrated Islamic Boarding School-Based Management, aiming to enhance student motivation. A qualitative methodology was employed for the research, utilizing data acquisition methods like observation, discussions, and examination of records. The outcomes of the research reveal that the integrated Islamic boarding school-based educational program management at SMP IT Hikmatul Uluum As-Syarifuddin and SMP Plus Nurul Hikmah in Tasikmalaya City was structured as a method for attaining an equilibrium in education between scholastic performance and the cultivation of Islamic ethical principles. Regarding the planning stage, both educational institutions commenced by assessing student requirements and modifying their overall goals, although they placed emphasis on distinct aspects. The integrated Islamic boarding school-based curriculum management has demonstrated its success in boosting student enthusiasm. Through meticulous preparation, well-rounded arrangement, reliable execution, and thorough assessment, students not only grow intellectually but also transform into individuals who are well-behaved, devout, morally upright, and firmly rooted in Islamic values.
