<![CDATA[This study aims to find out: (1)How high is the level of science literacy ability in aspects of knowledge and competence of grade VIII students accredited A, B and C, (2)Differences in science literacy ability of grade VIII students accredited A, B and C in Ujung Pandang District. The research method is descriptive quantitative. The study population was grade VIII students at SMPN 2 Makassar, SMPN 6 Makassar accredited A, SMPN 53 Makassar accredited B, SMPN 41 Satap Makassar accredited C with a sample of 276 students. The research instrument is in the form of 20 multiple-choice questions. The results of the data analysis found that: (1)The level of science literacy ability of grade VIII SMPN students accredited A SMPN 2 Makassar in the knowledge aspect was 57% with the medium category, the competency aspect of 62% obtained the high category. SMPN 6 Makassar obtained scores of 61% and 65% in the high category. Accredited B schools of SMPN 53 Makassar obtained scores of 54% and 60% in the medium category. The school is accredited C SMPN 41 Makassar by 55% and 56% in the medium category. (2)The difference in science literacy ability of grade VIII students of SMPN accredited A, B and C in Ujung Pandang District SMPN 2 Makassar accredited A on average by 59% in the medium category, SMPN 6 Makassar overall by 63% in the high category, SMPN 53 Makassar accredited B overall by 57% in the medium category and SMPN 41 Satap Makassar accredited C overall by 56% in the medium category.]]>
