Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the performance of formal sentence structures in oral communication of district-level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra, (2) standard vocabulary performance in verbal communication at district level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra, (3) the principle performance of courtesy in oral communication of district-level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra; and (4) the performance of the principle of cooperation in the oral communication of district-level legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive methods. The data of this study are the utterances of legislative and party leaders in West Sumatra in oral communication. The methods and data collection techniques used are the referral method, with advanced techniques, namely the note-taking technique. The technique of validating data is a detailed description technique, namely describing in detail the data to be interpreted. Data analysis methods and techniques are carried out by identifying data, transcribing, entering data into a format, classifying data, interpreting data, and concluding data. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded the following matters. (1) The performance of the use of formal sentence structures in oral communication of district legislators and party leaders in West Sumatra is quite sufficient (66%) of 150 data. West Sumatra is quite sufficient (66.7%) of 150 data. (3) The performance of the principle of manners in oral communication of legislative officials and party leaders at the district level in West Sumatra, the principle of courtesy is quite sufficient (67.3%) of 150 data. (4) The performance of the principle of cooperation in oral communication of legislative officials and district leaders in West Sumatra is classified as good (81.3%) of 150 data. Keywords: Performance, Oral Communication, Legislative Officials, Party Leaders

Abstract

Caring for the Diversity of Schools by Building the Character of Pancasila Students. The background is the phenomenon of viral news related to the issue of the dynamics of diversity in the educational environment. This news quickly spread to become a hot issue that was feared could have a negative impact. Because the Indonesian nation stands on a foundation of diversity / diversity, this condition is a problem that must be resolved so that it does not develop into a bigger conflict while preventing and minimizing it. The research method used qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, literature study and interviews. The results of the research show that there is an assumption that diversity / diversity can endanger the integrity of the nation, is a reason to maintain diversity in order to remain in wholeness and unity. Schools as intellectual communities and as miniatures of national diversity must be able to care for this diversity by building the character of Pancasila students. Pancasila students are lifelong students who have global competence and behave according to the values of Pancasila, namely: Believing & being devoted to God Almighty and Moral Morals, Global Diversity, Mutual Cooperation, Independent, Critical Reason, Creative.

Abstract

Pendidikan karakter perlu diterapkan dalam pendidikan sekolah dasar. Pendidikan karakter sendiri bertujuan menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter sebagai penyempurnaan diri peserta didik menjadi lebih baik. Dengan begitu peserta didik perlu mendapatkan pendidikan karakter agar memiliki kepribadian yang berkarakter baik pada dirinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam buku siswa tematik tema 1 kelas III sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif metode analisis isi dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumen. Data diperoleh dari isi buku siswa tematik tema I Perkembangan dan Pertumbuhan Makhluk Hidup kelas III. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan identifikasi nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter yang ditemukan pada buku siswa tematik tema 1 Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan Makhluk Hidup kelas III kurikulum 2013 terdapat 16 nilai pendidikan karakter dan 51 kutipan kalimat atau teks yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter.
