Abstract

The growth of Indonesia's banking industry highlights the significance of dividend policy as a measure of business performance and a signal for investors to make decisions. As a result, an examination of the variables affecting banking organizations' dividend policies is required. The purpose of this study is to examine how profitability, free cash flow, and collateralizable assets affect dividend policy in banking firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2020 and 2024. Purposive sampling is used in this study's quantitative method to sample selection. Secondary data from the company's financial statements were used. With the use of SPSS, multiple linear regression was used to analyze the data and determine how each independent variable affected the dependent variable. The findings indicate that collateralizable assets and free cash flow do not significantly affect dividend policy. In the meantime, dividend policy is positively and significantly impacted by profitability. With a coefficient of determination of 33.2%, all three independent variables simultaneously affect dividend policy, demonstrating the model's capacity to account for changes in dividend policy. In the banking industry, dividend policy is mostly determined by profitability. In contrast, a company's dividend policy is largely unaffected by free cash flow and collateralizable assets.   Keywords: Collateralizable Assets, Free Cash Flow, Dividend policy, Banking, Profitability.
