Abstract

Credit payment delinquency is a problem frequently encountered by Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and has the potential to disrupt the sustainability of village financial management. This condition also occurs at BUMDes Rambah Muda Jaya in Rambah Muda Village, Rambah Hilir Subdistrict, Rokan Hulu Regency. The objective of this study is to identify the characteristics of customers who experience credit arrears at BUMDes Rambah Muda Jaya and to analyze the factors that influence the duration of customer credit arrears. The research employed a quantitative method with a survey approach, using primary data collected through questionnaires administered to 21 respondents who were delinquent credit customers. Data analysis techniques included validity testing, reliability testing, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that the majority of delinquent credit customers are male (90%), within the age range of 25–35 years (70%), have an elementary school level of education (43%), and work as oil palm farmers (81%). The regression analysis indicates that the Internal Debtor factor (X1) and the External Financial Institution factor (X3) have a positive and significant effect on credit payment delinquency, while the Internal Financial Institution factor (X2) does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables are able to explain 73.0% of the variation in customer credit payment delinquency.
