Abstract

The era of digital transformation requires higher education institutions to optimize their information technology investments to boost employee productivity. This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of System Quality and Information Quality on Employee Performance, with User Satisfaction serving as a mediating variable within the context of Academic Information System (SIAKAD) utilization. This study employs a quantitative causal approach through a structural simulation study. This step was taken to overcome internal institutional data privacy regulatory restrictions by generating structured data based on empirical parameters. Simulation data were generated to represent a scenario of 116 observation data points adapted to the profile characteristics of administrative and academic staff using SIAKAD at a private higher education institution in Central Java. Model analysis was resolved using Variance-based Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4.0 software. The evaluation results indicate that System Quality and Information Quality have positive and significant effects on User Satisfaction. Furthermore, User Satisfaction demonstrated a strong direct effect on Employee Performance. Hypothesis testing confirms that User Satisfaction acts as a crucial mediating variable. The novelty of this research lies in testing the stability of technology success theory integration through a controlled computational experiment. Practical implications emphasize the importance of data accuracy and application response time stability to eliminate operational bottlenecks among employees.
