Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Snakes and Ladders game on the ability to recognize number symbols 1-10 in Group A children at TK Negeri Ade Irma Tilongkabila. This research used a pre-experimental design with One Group Pretest-Posttest. The subjects were 15 children. Data were collected through observation, performance tests, and documentation, then analyzed using normality test, paired sample t-test, and N-gain calculation. The results showed that the data were normally distributed with significance values of 0.470 for pretest and 0.076 for posttest. The t-test results obtained a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that the Snakes and Ladders game has a significant effect. The average N-gain score was 0.87 in the high category. It can be concluded that the Snakes and Ladders game is effective as a learning medium to improve children's ability to recognize number symbols 1-10.
