Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease that is still a public health problem and is affected by environmental sanitation conditions. This study aims to analyze the relationship between sewer conditions, water reservoirs (TPA), and waste disposal sites (TPS) with the incidence of dengue fever in the working area of the Muaradua Health Center UPT. This study used a cross sectional design with a sample of 99 respondents selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data was collected through observation using checklist sheets and analyzed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level. The results of the study showed that there was a relationship between sewer conditions and dengue incidence (p-value = 0.013; OR = 3,280; 95% CI: 1.363–7.893) and the relationship between water reservoirs (TPA) and dengue incidence (p-value = 0.003; OR = 4.025; 95% CI: 1,665–9,727). Meanwhile, waste disposal sites (TPS) were not related to the incidence of dengue fever (p-value = 0.176). sewer conditions and water reservoirs were factors related to the incidence of dengue, while waste disposal sites did not show a meaningful relationship. Improving environmental sanitation and water reservoir management needs to be improved as an effort to prevent dengue.
