This community service program method uses a quasi-experimental method with conseling using audiovisual media. Data was collected through questionnaries before and after education to measure the patients level of knowledge after being provided with education using audiovisual media. Before education, most patients has insufficient knowledge about spinal anesthesia procedures. After education, there was a significant increase in their understanding. Abstract

Medical records have a function to maintain and provide information for all parties involved in providing health services to patients. Completeness of anesthesia medical records is an important key element of good and quality anesthesia service practice. The study aims to determine the completeness of pre, intra, and post-anesthesia documentation at RSUD Dr. M. Ashari Pemalang. This research method is descriptive quantitative with a sample of 93 medical record documents taken with probability sampling technique. Data was collected by observing medical record documents then recording the completeness of documentation using a checklist. The results showed that the completeness of pre-anesthesia medical record documentation was 94.6% on the pre-anesthesia assessment form and 91.4% on the pre-induction assessment form. The completeness of intra-anesthesia medical record documentation was 96.8% on the anesthesia report form and 93.5% on the intra-anesthesia monitoring form. The completeness of post-anesthesia medical record documentation was 91.4% on the post-anesthesia documentation form. This means that the completeness of pre-, intra- and post-anesthesia medical record documentation at RSUD Dr. M. Ashari Pemalang has not reached the hospital’s minimum service standard of 100%. It is necessary to monitor and evaluate the implementation of anesthesia medical record documentation so that the achievement results are in accordance with hospital service standards.

Abstract

Postoperative nausea and vomiting (Ponv) is still a problem in modern anesthesia practice, because it is the most frequent cause of post-anesthesia patient discomfort. The effects are physiological and psychological and have an impact on increasing the burden of care costs while the patient is being treated. The aim of this study was to determine the incidence of post-operative nausea and vomiting (PonV) during operative hysteroscopy using regional anesthesia (spinal anesthesia) and general anesthesia techniques. This research method uses a quantitative study and the research design used is descriptive. The total sample was 40 respondents and the gender was female. The results of the analysis based on the age characteristics of respondents can be seen that the majority of respondents are in the age range 41-50 years, namely 18 (45%) respondents, aged 31-40 years, namely 14 (35%) respondents, aged 20-30 years, namely 4 (10%) respondents, aged 51-60 years were 2 (5%) respondents, aged 61-70 years were 2 (5%) respondents. Based on the type of anesthesia technique, there were 4 respondents with regional anesthesia (spinal anesthesia) who experienced PONV out of 30 respondents. Of the respondents with general anesthesia, there were 4 respondents who experienced PONV out of 10 respondents.
