Abstract

Learning resources used in elementary schools in the form of textbooks are designed only to emphasize the delivery of knowledge so that it is less understood by students. Submission of material in the form of a long description makes learning not meaningful, because students are more interested in images than long descriptions. This study aims to develop teaching materials with a valid, practical and effective Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach used in the learning process. This type of research is development research. Teaching material with the CTL approach was developed using the 4D model. This model consists of 4 stages namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The define stage is analyzing the curricurulum and analyzing students. At the design stage, the design of teaching materials is carried out using the CTL approach. At the develop stage the design of teaching materials with the CTL approach is validated by 6 validators. After the teaching materials with the CTL approach have been validated, a limited trial is then carried out. The limited test was carried out for 30 students of SDN 21 Sikapak Barat class V. The disseminate stage was not conducted. Based on the results of research conducted in the know that teaching materials with the CTL approach to the material of human and animal organs for elementary school class V declared valid by 6 validators. Based on limited trials, it is known that the use of teaching materials with the CTL approach is very practical for both teachers and students. Based on observations of activities, students are very active in the learning process. Student learning outcomes exceed the minimum limit. The conclusion of the study was that the teaching material with the CTL approach was declared valid with an average of 3.51, the teaching material was declared practical with an average of 93.43%, and the teaching material was declared effective with an average of 88.58%.

Abstract

Students are one of the elements involved in the learning process. Student success can not be separated from learning, to improve learning outcomes necessary motivation in learning. Motivation is influenced by multiple factors originating from within is called intrinsic motivation, and students who come from outside the student called extrinsic motivation. The purpose of this research is to know the difference RSBI student motivation to learn biology in junior high school students and regular first Pariaman. Type of research is a descriptive. The population in this research is RSBI students and regular students in junior high school first Pariaman numbering 120 persons. In this study sampling was not done, the entire sampled population. The variables in this research that students' motivation to learn biology RSBI and regular students in junior high school one school year 2009/2010 Pariaman. Data collected by using questionnaire and then analyzed using descriptive analysis of the percentage. Results showed that students' intrinsic motivation to learn in RSBI students higher than regular students. Conversely, the student extrinsic motivation to learn biology in regular students is better than RSBI students. RSBI students' intrinsic motivation in learning biology, including the criteria very well.Key words: Motivation, intrinsic, extrinsic, RSBI

Abstract

At alementary schools, textbooks are found to put emphasis only on what should be learned by the students rather than how should the materials be delivered to the students, in these books, students mostly read long explanations and the are rarely supported by picture which are believed to make the materials more understandable. As the result, the students are not able to be engaged in the learning process as they cannot comprehend the materials. This research is aimed to develop the valid, practical and effective and learning materials. This research used CTL to develop the learning materials in the form of 4D models which consisted of four stages that were define, design and disseminate. To define means analyzing the curriculum and the students’ needs. To design means designing the learning materials using CTL. To develop means validating the materials. After validating, the materials would be tried out to 30 students at the fifth grade of SDN 05 Kampung Pondok. There was not disseminating stage in this research. From the result of the research, it was proved that the learning materials in CTL were valid. The tryout has shown that the materials were practical to both teacher and the students. Based on the observations, it can be seen that the students were actively involved in the learning process and their grades were also improve significantly. In conclusions, learning materials built in CTL were valid (3,51%), practical (93,43%) and effective (88,58%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPA diperkirakan karena penggunaan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat yang berakibat kurangnya perhatian siswa terhadap guru, siswa juga lebih kurang percaya diri berbicara langsung dengan guru, serta rendahnya motivasi belajar dan penggunaan media belajar yang kurang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan metode Eksperimen pada pembelajaran IPA dengan kompetensi dasar mendeskripsikan sifat-sifat cahaya di kelas V SDN 07 VII Koto Sungai Sariak. Pada penelitian ini terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 56 siswa. Pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Sehingga terpilih kelas V.2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas V.1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan metode Eksperimen memberi pengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini terlihat dari perolehan nilai pada kondisi awal kelas eksperimen diperoleh rata-rata 70,68 dan rata-rata nilai siswa kelas kontrol 80,93. Setelah dilakukan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode Eksperimen pada kelas eksperimen dan pembelajaran secara konvensional pada kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 79,14 pada kelas eksperimen dan nilai rata-rata pada kelas kontrol 60,72. Berdasarkan analisis uji hipotesis yang telah didapatkan dari penelitian ini dengan α = 0,05 dengan derajat kebebasan dk 54 dari tabel diperoleh harga t(0.975)(54) = 2,006 diperoleh thitung 2,84 diperoleh harga terlihat bahwa thitung ttabel. Kriteria pengujiannya adalah terima Ho jika terletak antara (-2,006) sampai 2,006 dan tolak Ho jika mempunyai harga lain. Demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penggunaan metode Eksperimen pada pembelajaran IPA Mendeskrispsikan Sifat-sifat Cahaya memberi pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas V SD Negeri 07 VII Koto Sungai Sariak. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes of high grade students at SDN 16 Sungai Limau. This problem is marked by the fact that there are still many students who are less disciplined towards online and offline learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of learning discipline during the covid-19 pandemic on the learning outcomes of highclass students at SDN 16 Sungai Limau, Padang Pariaman Regency. This research is a correlational study. The population in this study amounted to 50 students and the entire population was sampled with a total sampling technique. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire to measure student learning discipline variables to describe student learning outcomes for high grade students at SDN 16 Sungai Limau. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was an influence of learning discipline on the learning outcomes of high grade students at SDN 16 Sungai Limau. This is indicated by the correlation coefficient value of 0.799, thus indicating that the learning discipline variable has an influence on student learning outcomes (t count 9.215 > t table 1.678). While the value of the determinant coefficient is 63.84%, this shows that the learning outcomes of high grade students at SDN 16 Sungai Limau 63.84% are influenced by student discipline variables, while the remaining 36.16% is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This study aims to describe English teaching materials and identify the needs of English language teaching materials based on character education by using the Total Physical Response (TPR) method at SDIT Mutiara Bunda Kota Pariaman. This research is a Research Development (R and D) with qualitative descriptive research design. Participants of this study were teachers and students of grade V SDIT Mutiara Bunda Kota Pariaman. Instruments of this research are questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The results showed that teachers and students needed English-based teaching materials based on character education. The teaching material needed is a teaching material that is easy to understand and comprehend and it can be used by teachers and students. In addition, the teaching materials are also able to make students active, creative, and communicative. Moreover, the attitude the students wants are a confident attitude, responsibility, and love to to work hard. Thus, it can be concluded that English teaching materials need to be developed using Total Physical Response (TPR) method based on character education
