Abstract

Learning about viral genetic diversity has conventionally been conducted using less varied methods, such as textbooks, PowerPoint presentations, and lectures. These monotonous teaching approaches often cause students to feel bored and result in low learning motivation. So, the purpose of this project is to develop interactive teaching materials using Articulate Storyline 3, which will help boost students' interest and make the learning process more effective and enjoyable. The study uses this Research and Development (R&D) approach, which includes the Define, Design, Define, and Develop phases based on a 3D version of the 4D development model. The Design and Development phase uses the 3D version of the 4D development model. Next, the products created are validated by media and materials experts, and tested by students for usability and ease of reading. The research results indicate that the teaching material's feasibility based on media expert validation achieved 96.73% (highly feasible category), while material expert validation reached 92.83% (highly feasible category). The readability test involving 25 students yielded an average score of 86% indicating that the material is easily understood by students, placing it It falls within a highly appropriate category for implementation in the learning process. Based on these findings, the Articulate Storyline 3-based interactive its use was successful in reducing boredom and increasing students motivation on viral genetic diversity topics.
