The Karang Bayan community possesses a traditional medicine practice that utilizes local medicinal plants. Generally, these traditional remedies are formulated from various plant species into herbal drinks or applied as sembeq (a topical herbal blend). Utilizing home gardens serves as an effective cultivation medium while supporting the availability and conservation of needed medicinal plants. The natural potential of medicinal plants in the wild represents a valuable germplasm resource, necessitating independent conservation efforts. The partner for this community service activity was the Konta Nyembao Farmers Group. This initiative aimed to enhance community knowledge and understanding regarding the benefits of medicinal plants and the utilization of home gardens as a medium for conservation activities in Karang Bayan Village. The community service methodology comprised a preparation phase; an implementation phase consisting of socialization, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and practical construction of a demonstration home garden plot; and an evaluation phase. The activity proceeded smoothly and interactively, receiving positive feedback from participants. Attendees demonstrated high enthusiasm, focused attention during material presentation, and active involvement in discussion sessions. Participants successfully identified various local medicinal plant species and their benefits, applying home garden utilization techniques as a conservation medium. Evaluation results indicated that the final target indicator for participant knowledge and understanding reached 96%. Recommendations for program sustainability include ongoing mentorship in home garden utilization as a conservation medium and the initiation of a local plant nursery. Overall, the community service activity was successfully executed, effectively boosting knowledge, understanding, and empowerment in home garden utilization for conservation
