Abstract

Sustainable urban development emphasizes the integration of public transportation and land use to create more efficient urban mobility systems. In Jakarta, most studies have focused on the MRT Jakarta Phase 1 corridor, while evaluations of area readiness along the MRT Jakarta Phase 2 corridor remain limited, including in the Glodok area. This study aims to quantitatively evaluate the readiness of the Glodok area using the TOD Standard 3.0 framework developed by the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy (ITDP). The research adopts a descriptive quantitative approach through a scorecard-based assessment with a maximum score of 100 points. Data were collected through field observations, GIS-based spatial analysis, and urban planning documents. The evaluation results indicate that the Glodok area achieved a score of 49 points, categorizing it as Below Bronze. Although the area demonstrates strong structural potential in terms of urban density, mixed land use, and the presence of mass transit networks such as TransJakarta BRTand the MRT Jakarta Phase 2, the quality of pedestrian infrastructure, street network connectivity, and active mobility facilities remains limited. These findings highlight the need to improve walkability, urban connectivity, and active mobility integration to support the development of a more integrated and sustainable urban area.
