Abstract

The art of photography is not only a simple record of the real world, but becomes a complex creation of art and an image medium that also gives meaning and message. The quality of a good photo is not only becouse of its clear picture but also because of its proper lighting and also its good composition. Composition contains the elements of an image in a format. An image can be produced more effectively and meaningfully with an understanding of good composition. Composition is an instrument for a photographer to take the viewer beyond the experience of “peeking through someone else’s window. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Seni fotografi bukan sekedar merupakan rekaman apa adanya dari dunia nyata, tapi menjadi karya seni yang kompleks dan media gambar yang juga memberi makna dan pesan. Foto yg baik tidak cukup hanya tajam gambarnya, tetapi juga tepat pencahayaannya dalam bidang gambar dengan komposisi yang baik pula. Komposisi adalah rangkaian elemen gambar dalam suatu ruang/format. Dengan komposisi yang baik, foto akan lebih efektif menampilkan pesan pembuatnya dan menimbulkan dampak yang lebih kuat. Komposisi foto merupakan salah satu cara bagaimana fotografer mengekspresikan dirinya. Kata kunci: seni, fotografi, komposisi.

Abstract

The art of photography is combination between technology and art. Esthetic values which not coveret in photography technology must be harmonized with technical process to give character and beauty at its visual result. Abstract

Dharma Wanita is a national professional organization that has a vision and mission to improve the ability of civil servants' wives and civil servants themselves who are women in the future so that they can become intelligent women, have knowledge, become pious wives to become pillars in the family, to support fathers or husbands. That behind the success of a man there must be a great woman. Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) LLDIKTI Region VII consists of wives of employees in the LLDIKTI VII environment, Women's Association, Academic Community of Higher Education in the LLDIKTI VII Environment. Activities held such as seminars, to support family welfare and national progress Holding social activities, Batik skills, Cooking, Facial Acupressure Beauty, This activity method is focused on members of DWP LLDIKTI VII who collaborate with STKW Surabaya to introduce batik creativity in developing and increasing batik skills as a strengthener of national culture and building independent Indonesian women. Batik as a noble work of art of the Indonesian nation has a distinctive and unique beauty that distinguishes it from other textile decoration patterns. The uniqueness of the appearance of batik is produced from specific materials, tools, and processes that require perseverance, craftsmanship, patience and high creativity. The results of this service support one of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan LLDIKTI VII programs, namely training to improve batik skills as a strengthener of national culture for independent women. It is hoped that various kinds of knowledge about batik from making batik patterns, transferring batik patterns to cloth, attaching wax to cloth using canting, dipping cloth into dye and drooping. It is hoped that it can add inspiration and innovation for the development of Independent Indonesian Women in the future.

Abstract

The Ringkel batik motif of Banyuates possesses distinctive characteristics in its production process. In addition to being manually drawn using a canting, it is also combined with jumputan (tie-dye) and ringkel techniques. The process involves binding sections of the fabric before dyeing, resulting in specific patterns. Furthermore, the Ringkel technique is executed through stitching (dilujur) according to particular patterns, which are then integrated with hand-drawn batik. This study aims to identify the various developments of Ringkel batik motifs in Banyuates and to examine the process of creating these motifs in Banyuates, Sampang, Madura. The findings of this research are expected to be beneficial for local government authorities in recognizing and documenting the names of the developed batik motifs, as well as for batik artisans themselves. This research employs qualitative methods, including observation, interviews, and documentation. These methods are utilized to explore and identify the range of Ringkel batik motifs that have been developed in Banyuates, Sampang, Madura. The objective of this study is to provide contributions in the form of inspiration and innovation, particularly in fostering creative and critical thinking related to the development of Ringkel batik motifs in Banyuates, Sampang, Madura. Ultimately, these efforts are expected to enhance the aesthetic appeal and economic value of Ringkel batik, making it increasingly attractive and commercially valuable.
