Abstract

This research analyzes the consensus of Islamic education stakeholders regarding the tawhid paradigm as an epistemological foundation for integrating Islamic religious education and general sciences in responding to environmental degradation. Methods: Using a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design with 22 respondents from eight ethnic backgrounds in Indonesia. Data were collected through a validated 16-item structured survey (Cronbach's Alpha >0.80) measuring four dimensions: Tawhid-Environment Understanding, Knowledge Integration, Islamic Value-Based Ecological Awareness, and Paradigm-Dualism of Sciences. Analysis used descriptive statistics and reliability testing. Results and Conclusion: Strong consensus (91.4% positive responses) toward tawhid-based integration (M=4.39). The tawhid paradigm demonstrates universal explanatory power and transformative potential for ecological awareness. However, a significant gap exists between ideological awareness (90%) and institutional practice (77%) that still separates religious and general sciences. Implications: The tawhid paradigm can address knowledge dualism, requiring systemic transformation at epistemological, curricular, institutional, and policy levels through curriculum redesign and teacher capacity development.

Abstract

The Eid al-Fitr hampers phenomenon has evolved into a complex cultural tradition among contemporary Indonesian Muslim communities. This tradition is not merely a gift exchange but reflects the interplay of ukhuwah Islamiyah values and increasingly prominent economic rationality amid modernization. This study aims to examine community perceptions of the Lebaran hampers phenomenon through the integration of three constructs: ukhuwah Islamiyah values, economic rationality, and perceptions of the hampers phenomenon. The instrument used was a community perception questionnaire consisting of 3 main constructs Ukhuwah Islamiyah (6 items), Economic Rationality (5 items), and Perceptions of the Lebaran Hampers Phenomenon (5 items) totaling 16 statement items using a Likert scale of 1–5. Data collection was conducted through Google Forms distributed online to the general public. The research subjects were 30 respondents with diverse backgrounds in age, education, and occupation. Results show that ukhuwah Islamiyah scores were in the high category (mean=22.93 out of 30), economic rationality in the very high category (mean=20.70 out of 25), and perceptions of the Lebaran hampers in the high category (mean=18.33 out of 25). These findings indicate that communities perceive Lebaran hampers not only as a spiritual and communal expression but also as an economically deliberated activity. The study concludes that the Lebaran hampers phenomenon represents an integration of Islamic values and economic pragmatism reflecting the religious dynamics of modern Muslim society.
