Abstract

This research aims to discuss the urgency of Citizenship Education and Pancasila in fostering the spirit of nationalism for the younger generation in the millennial era. Citizenship Education and Pancasila are considered important to be taught to citizens to instill citizenship values and be able to apply the values contained in Pancasila in the framework of national identity. One of the problems facing Indonesia is the waning spirit of nationalism, especially among the younger generation. By studying Citizenship Education and Pancasila, the millennial generation can foster a spirit of nationalism so that it makes them more resistant to negative influences and threats from outside that are running rampant. They will be ready to face all challenges and at the same time be able to produce young people who are responsible for the progress of the nation. This research includes literature studies by presenting data from the search for theoretical references that are relevant to the cases or problems found. The type of data used secondary data. The data collection method is literature study. The method to be used for this review is literature study. The data obtained were compiled, analyzed, and concluded in order to get conclusions about the literature study. The results obtained from the findings of problems with literature studies show a fading sense of nationalism which will become a serious problem for the Indonesian nation if it is left unchecked.
