Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) among fifth-grade students at SDN 58 Pekanbaru, which were caused by the suboptimal use of innovative and interactive learning media. As a result, the learning process had not been able to encourage students to develop a deeper conceptual understanding. This study aimed to determine the effect of Deep Learning-based Wordwall media on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 58 Pekanbaru. This research employed a quantitative approach using a Pre-Experimental Design with a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 25 students selected through a saturated sampling technique. The research instrument was a learning achievement test administered before and after the implementation of the Deep Learning-based Wordwall media. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, a normality test, and a Paired Sample t-test. The findings indicated an improvement in students' learning outcomes after the implementation of the Deep Learning-based Wordwall media. The mean pretest score was 53.82, while the mean posttest score increased to 63.17. The hypothesis testing using the Paired Sample t-test produced a significance value of 0.018 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores. These findings demonstrate that the use of Deep Learning-based Wordwall media has a positive and significant effect on the IPAS learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 58 Pekanbaru. This learning media enhances students' engagement, strengthens conceptual understanding, and creates a more active, meaningful, and enjoyable learning experience. Therefore, Deep Learning-based Wordwall media can be considered an effective and innovative alternative for improving IPAS learning outcomes in elementary schools.
