Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of the automatic belt conveyor technology work system on employee performance at PT Joeneos Ikamulya Yuri. Field observations indicate operational obstacles to adapting to new technology early in the implementation phase, potentially impacting work productivity. This study employed a quantitative approach with an associative approach. The population was all employees of PT Joeneos Ikamulya Yuri, with a total sample of 100 respondents using the Krejcie & Morgan formula sample determination (5% margin of error). Primary data collection was conducted through the distribution of structured questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 26, including validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests (normality tests, linearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests), simple linear regression analysis, correlation coefficient (R) tests, partial significance tests (t-tests), and coefficient of determination (R²) tests. The instrument test results show that all statement items for variables X and Y have valid values with a calculated r value > r table of 0.1638 and are reliable with Cronbach's Alpha values for variable X (0.799) and variable Y (0.778) above the standard of 0.60. The results of a simple linear regression analysis produce the equation Y = 8.326 + 0.780X. Based on the t-test (partial), the Work System variable of the Application of Automatic Belt Conveyor Technology has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance, as evidenced by the calculated t value of 11.112 > t table and a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The correlation coefficient (R) value of 0.747 indicates a causal relationship between the variables in the strong category. The results of the coefficient of determination (R²) test show a value of 0.558, which means that the contribution of the application of automatic belt conveyor technology to employee performance is 55.8%, while the remaining 44.2% is influenced by other variables outside this research model.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of the performance evaluation method, the condition of employee productivity, and the relationship between the effectiveness of performance evaluation and employee productivity at PT EMI. The research employed a quantitative approach with an associative design and a cross-sectional framework. The study involved 200 employees, all of whom were included as respondents using saturated sampling. Data were obtained through a five-point Likert questionnaire and processed using descriptive statistics, validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, simple linear regression, t-testing, and the coefficient of determination. The findings indicate that the performance evaluation method was perceived as effective, while employee productivity was classified as high. The regression coefficient was 0.847 with a significance level below 0.001, confirming a positive and significant effect of performance evaluation effectiveness on employee productivity. The R Square value of 0.662 indicates that the evaluation method accounted for 66.2% of the variation in employee productivity, while the remaining 33.8% was associated with factors outside the model. These results suggest that an effectively implemented performance evaluation system can be utilized as a managerial means of supporting employee productivity at PT EMI. The findings may also provide a practical basis for improving the clarity, transparency, feedback, and follow-up of performance evaluation processes.
