Abstract

The increasingly tight competition in the automotive industry in Indonesia, including the entry of new brands with competitive prices, also affects the dynamics of four-wheeled vehicle sales. This study aims to analyze the effect of Work life balance and Job Satisfaction on Innovative Work Behavior through Organizational Commitment as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal associative design. The sampling technique uses non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, with a total of 216 automotive marketing employees in the Greater Jakarta area as respondents. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling based on Covariance-Based SEM (CB-SEM) with the help of Lisrel software, as well as descriptive analysis using the Three Box Method. The results of the study indicate that Work Life Balance, Job Satisfaction, and Organizational Commitment have a positive effect on Innovative Work Behavior. In addition, Work Life Balance and Job Satisfaction also have a positive effect on Organizational Commitment. Organizational Commitment is proven to partially mediate the influence of Work Life Balance and Job Satisfaction on Innovative Work Behavior. Thus, all hypotheses in this study are declared proven and significant. Further research is recommended to expand the scope of the research objects and locations and explore theories and other variables outside the study that could potentially influence the results. The results provide managerial benefits related to improving employee work behavior, particularly in the automotive marketing sector.
