Abstract

Women in Islam have a strategic position as madrasatul ula ‘the first school in the formation of children's character and spirituality’. However, the challenges of modern times such as multiple pressures, consumerism, and secular values have weakened women's inner resilience, which has an impact on the quality of moral education in the family. This article aims to reconstruct the Sufism thoughts of Badiuzzaman Said Nursi and Prof. Dr. Nasaruddin Umar to build a model of women's spiritual resilience in the context of Indonesian Muslim families. This research uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Primary data was analysed through content analysis, discourse analysis, and a hermeneutic-interpretative approach to the works of the two figures. The results of the study show that Nursi's thoughts emphasise the importance of faith, dhikr and divine love as a support for women's spiritual role, while Umar highlights transcendental love, inner awareness and gender justice within the framework of Sufism. The inner resilience model offered includes dhikr, ma'rifatullah, tazkiyatun nafs, mahabbah, and self-awareness. Implementation strategies include ruhani parenting training, a Sufism curriculum for young mothers, and a women's dhikr assembly. The contribution of this article is to offer a Sufistic approach as a new paradigm in strengthening women's spirituality to build family resilience rooted in Islamic values.
