Abstract

Parents play an important role in supporting the development and education of early childhood children. This community service activity aimed to optimize the role of parents through the Parenting Akbar Hypnoparenting Program in Jampangtengah Village, Jampangtengah District, Sukabumi Regency. The activity was conducted as part of the Community Service Program (KKN) of Universitas Madani Nusantara on August 27, 2026, involving 75 parents of early childhood students. A participatory approach was employed through education, demonstrations, simulations, discussions, and evaluation. The materials covered early childhood characteristics and needs, the role of the family, positive parenting, positive communication, parental role modeling, the concept of hypnoparenting , positive suggestions, and parent-child communication. Evaluation was conducted through pre-tests, post-tests, observation, and documentation. The results indicated changes in participants' understanding following the parenting education and active participation in discussions and positive communication simulations. Hypnoparenting was introduced as an educational approach emphasizing the use of positive messages and suggestions in parent-child interactions rather than as a form of therapy. This activity demonstrates that parenting programs can strengthen parents' capacity to support early childhood development and have the potential to be continued through regular parenting activities and strengthened communication between families and educational institutions.
