Abstract

This study aims to describe the forms and factors that cause bullying behavior in early childhood and analyze the role of teacher role models as an effort to prevent and handle it in Pertiwi II Kindergarten Probolinggo. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with principals and teachers, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively to obtain a comprehensive picture of the phenomenon being studied. The results showed that the forms of bullying found included verbal, physical, and relational bullying, with verbal bullying being the most dominant form. The factors that cause bullying behavior come from internal factors of children, family environment, peers, and the influence of media and social environment. Teachers' examples play an important role in forming positive character through the habit of mutual respect, empathy, discipline, and polite communication. However, the example of teachers has not been able to completely eliminate bullying behavior because it is still influenced by external factors outside the school environment. Therefore, the prevention of bullying in early childhood requires continuous collaboration between schools, families, and the community so that the character values instilled in schools can be applied consistently in daily life.
